It was very exciting when we got the call from Brides Magazine to be part of their September/October 2009 National issue. It was being photographed in NYC and they wanted to see if we would be one of their Floral Design Companies creating for the issue. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and we were assigned our color palette of PURPLE.

There was a month of preparation where we spoke to the magazine about the ideas that we wanted to create and worked with them on the specifics.  Then we packed up the van and headed off to NYC to the studio where everything was being photographed. It was really fun working with the team at Brides Magazine as they were so creative, detail oriented and just lovely. It was a real treat and honor.

We really wanted to vary the looks to show all the diverse things that we can do here at Beautiful Blooms.  Bill, our Studio and Design Director, had made floral rings in the past and Brides loved the idea of him making one for the magazine.  It looks gorgeous in this antique box.

You know me with dogs…always love to have them involved somehow so one of the Editor’s friends had their dog come to the shoot so that we could showcase our doggie couture. This beautiful collar of purple delphiniums looks gorgeous worn on this cute white Maltese.

Ahhh. When tulips come into season it is just magic!  I love this compote bowl filled with several varieties of tulips opening at all different stages. Just magnificent.

This bouquet is a wild yet elegant mix of flowers….so romantic…so chic. A beautiful combination of jasmine, sweet peas, anemones, phalenopsis orchids and lisianthus.   I want to carry one to work every day.

Colored vases are constantly on my mind and I love how pretty these purple and white flowers look in the purple vase. A combination of sweet peas, lisianthus and a combination of tulip add texture to this chic vase.

So now we come to the lamp and wow is it gorgeous! Wouldn’t you want one of these at everyone of your events. The soft glow through the lampshade and the fresh scent coming from the flowers. I love this unique beautiful idea.  We can create all of these ideas for your next wedding or event! The ideas are constantly flowing here at Beautiful Blooms.
