Wedding Wednesday: Garden Luxe

By Sara on November 16, 2011 | 4 Comments

This Wedding Wednesday, we are taking you to a private estate where we had the luxury of creating a beautiful garden luxe wedding that combined rustic outdoor elements with glam metallic tones. The couple wanted to have an outdoor wedding, but stay away from elements that may classify it as an informal “backyard” get-together. We did just that by accenting personal flowers with glitzy custom-made accoutrements, mixing rustic farm tables with matte charcoal chairs, and creating organic and textural arrangements that complemented pewter urns and candle holders. (Don’t forget tons of moody candlelight!) Now let’s talk about the flowers… the mix and colors are just to die for. The ivy and seeded eucalyptus provided the natural greenery feel the bride loved so much, and then the fresh lavender, soft lisianthus, and of course — my favorite — the amazing color of those Amnesia roses gave the arrangements such a beautiful and rich feeling. Let’s also not forget the sailcloth tent with wood floor, which definitely created the atmosphere for this intimate wedding celebration. One of my favorite things about this wedding were all of the details that pulled the event together; from custom large wooden signage throughout the event to place cards at each setting featuring a mini bundle of fresh lavender, you could truly tell walking through the event that we didn’t skip a beat! I absolutely loved helping this couple plan their entire wedding in three months(!) and the team here did an amazing job getting their vision to come to life. We hope you enjoy the pictures by Kristen of Hudson Nichols Photography — there were so many amazing ones it was really hard to make selections to share with you today!

[...] Our Robert family monogram is an ‘R’ in a laurel wreath. We used it for our invitations, wedding menus, and welcome bag tags. I’ve asked our florist to carry the theme through to the wedding reception table which will be one long rectangular table outdoors in an English garden. We will have wreaths like this on the bride and groom chairs like this one from BeautifulBlooms.com [...]
