Today we are putting the spotlight on the Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park right here in Philadelphia. It is a beautiful — and more importantly — unique venue! It can accommodate events both inside the greenhouse or outside in front of the reflecting pool. Our clients are absolutely loving the space, and it’s hard not to see why from the moment you walk in. It successfully brings the elements of outdoor celebrations (that couples so frequently want) inside; you get the same effect without having to worry about bad weather, tents, etc.! We recently worked with the team at STARR Events (their exclusive caterer) and provided decor for their open house. As you can imagine, the space works well with natural colors and a very organic style… however, we decided to showcase a little more dramatic color palette so that couples could see it’s transformation from daytime greenhouse to black tie affair. Antique hydrangea, burgundy coxcomb, and yarrow were just some of the varieties used to create the rich and textural arrangements; mixed with some vintage elements, the guests were able to get a great idea of how perfect the space was for formal events!
