We frequently meet with clients who are having a traditional religious celebration and ask us if we are familiar with the different elements required for the ceremony, so for the record — yes, we are! We can design your chuppahs, mandaps, stephanas, Blessed Mother bouquets, decor for your tea ceremony, etc.; we will absolutely work with you to make your special moment as a couple exactly “you”, without sacrificing the sanctity of the occasion. With that said, today for Wedding Wednesday we are sharing a Hindu wedding, with some funky touches that personalized this celebration for the couple. They wanted to keep all of the traditional elements, and add some fun by incorporating hot pink and lime green. We made their mandap a little more 2011 by draping it with vibrant green fabric and accented it with hanging strands of orchids – they and their families absolutely loved it! I really like how the wardrobe change included a slight color palette shift for the reception… it matched the lighting, and you can see they danced the night away with the help of dohl drummers!
