Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown Wedding-Modern Enchanted Garden (Part 3)

By Donna on July 29, 2010 | No Comments

Here is our third installation of our blog on the Modern Enchanted Garden Wedding for 600 guests. Today’s post will walk you through the lobby which included a work of art entrance piece, a multi dimensional place card table and a unique entrance way into the ballroom. All photos were taken by Roger Dong Photography.

As the guests entered the lobby of the Double Tree Hotel in Tarrytown they were greeted by this tall ” work of art” piece. This unique display of moss balls, emerald green crystals and plum calla lilies really caught the eye of all the guests.

Beautiful Blooms

For the place card table we created a whole unique display.  Against the window we placed a screen filled with test tubes and greenery. Then in front of that we layered on our custom gold table where a tall grid of gold bamboo was created and accented with the plum callas.  I had mentioned before that this whole wedding really worked around one flower-the calla lily.  You will begin to see it in all the designs.

Here’s an overall view of the display.  We had two hedges placed on either side of our custom gold table. We placed glass on top of them and laid out the place cards on the table tops. Behind the hedges we had two candle holders with plum pillar candles. I love the shadows the bamboo created on the floor.
