Last month, a former client (see the red and black mitzvah photos on our website) asked us to design her daughter’s wedding. The only parameters we were given was to create a Modern Enchanted Garden feel in shades of green (emerald green was the color for the bridesmaids and moms) so that color played a large part in the wedding.
After visiting the facility, The Double Tree Tarrytown, we started conceptualizing. We had a guest count of over 600 guests and 2 months to design the whole wedding so with the list of events happening throughout the day (below) it was time for us to start designing each one of them.

In today’s post I am highlighting the Bridal flowers. I love that the bride and her mom were so open to us being creative. They wanted unusual and unique and still beautiful so Beautiful Blooms Events happily designed just that.
I love the bouquet! It was a modern cascade of gold wire, emerald green chandelier crystals, hanging amaryanthus, plum callas, mini allium, dianthus, scabiosa pods and these beautiful freeze dried emerald green roses. The bride and her mom LOVED LOVED it!

When we worked on the color palette for this wedding we decided that the plum and purple along with gold would all work beautifully together. The calla lily became the main flower in the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It was the first time we really focused on one specific flower and it made a strong statement. Stay tuned for those photos.

The underside of the bouquet was all covered in gaylax leaves and finished off with emerald green ribbon and crystals.

The bridesmaids wore emerald green dresses with a bold pattern in shades of green. We choose to do a white bouquet for the girls and each one was slightly different. This one shown here was created from peonies, agapanthus, calla lilies, bouvardia and green fiddleheads. I love fiddleheads so I was excited that the client was good with us using them as some clients don’t like them but we really felt that they worked.

We wrapped the bouquet handle with ribbon and ribbon strands with emerald green hanging crystals. These little details really make all the difference.
In Part 2, I’ll show you the rest of the Bridal Flowers.
