The Merion-A Cruise Theme Bat Mitzvah (Part One)

By Donna on July 4, 2010 | No Comments

This past April, Beautiful Blooms Events created a Cruise Theme Bat Mitzvah for a previous client. The last time we worked with this client was on their son’s Star Trek Mitzvah and we were excited to show them what we could do this time around. Thank you to Jean Valentin for coming out and taking all of these wonderful photos for us.

As the guests entered the “AFT” and “FORE” sign lead them to adult and kids cocktail hour. Aft and fore are used on cruise ships as directionals-back and forward of the ship.

The adult guests went left as they entered the space and were able to enjoy an exciting cocktail hour with a steel drum band and tropical florals.

The focal point to the bar was this tall glass vase filled with aqua water with a mixed tropical arrangement  including anthirium, protea, mokara orchids and oncidium orchids placed on top of the vase.

In keeping with the feeling of the Mitzvah tropical drinks were served.

As the adult guests left the cocktail hour they headed past Jackie’s Cruise Ship and walked over the gang plank we created for the event.

The guests were able to write wishes for the Bat Mitzvah girl and pin them on the palm tree we specially brought for just this purpose.

The adult place cards were maps of the “cruise ship” reception room.

The place card table is one of my favorite designs that we have created.   A long plexi table was filled with aqua water and hundreds of flower heads to give an ocean feel. The colors of the blooms just popped off the blue color. We also placed multiple vases on the top of the table to continue the ocean feel.

A combination of brightly colored orchid heads were floating inside of the plexi table.

The kids place cards were cruise passes that they worn around their neck.

In Part Two, we will show you the room and all the amazing details.
