I had the pleasure to work with Ann and Ivan on their son Harry’s Snowboard Mitzvah last December 19th. They are truly an amazing couple. We quickly became friends and I was thrilled when they asked Beautiful Blooms Events to design a very special birthday party for Ivan and also attend it.
Ann and Ivan are both English so the party was created with England in mind!
A traditional English black cab was hired to take the couple from their home to Duportail House for the party.
Once the guests entered they had their photos taken in a proper English phone box we had created with Ivan’s logo.

Ann’s sister flew in from England to help celebrate Ivan’s birthday.

As guests entered, they had their photo taken at the telephone box and then wrote birthday wishes for Ivan on postcards.
Ivan’s name was in lights or on records throughout the space. Ivan’s son created the logo which was used on the invitations, the floor, the phone box and many other places which was based on the London Underground logo.
We found lots of great items to compliment the English free my metal Beefeaters to taxi cabs, minis and English flags. It was so fun tracking down all of these items.
Even the cake had an English design of a double decker bus made from fondant.
We filled the tent with red light and of course Ivan’s Logo. All of the linens that were choosen were red with blue chavari chairs and the decor followed through with the English feel.
