Flower of the Day-Tulips (From Above)

You know Spring is on its way when you see Tulips! Actually, we can get them in most of the year from several of our suppliers except during the heat of the summer. There are so many varieties of tulips these days from the parrot to the double to the feather to the two tone. We love them all.

Look at these amazing overhead shots of tulip fields in Holland.  They are grown in groupings of color in the fields. WOW!  Thank you to Bill Schodowski from Delaware Valley Wholesale Flowers for letting us share these amazing images with our blog readers.

As you can see…tulips come in an amazing variety of colors (solids and stripes). This shot looks like a striped rug and I find it so visually appealing and inspiring. The grower has to lay out and think about how they are going to plant each color and how many.

Bill even got down low to be amongst the tulips to take this shot.  Now all we need is nice Spring weather so it really feels like tulip weather. tulips_4

Usually a nice variety of tulips can be found at the Beautiful Blooms Boutique (215-925-3111).
