When Culinary Concepts wanted to do a shoot at the new venue, Sky Box 2424 in Fishtown, they called in Kevin York to photograph it. Sky Box 2424 is a venue within a working community of
surrounding lofts. They also asked Beautiful Blooms Events to come on board. We were happy to work with the team to create a stunning photo shoot.
A soft aqua shimmer linen was the backdrop for Beautiful Blooms tall black vase with tall bamboo branches. The green bamboo was spray painted aqua so it coordinated with the overall look that the team wanted created. The main focus of the arrangement was the flowers which were dendrobium orchids in green and aqua blue. The aqua blue was dyed and although I don’t usually like dyed flowers they really worked here. Orange mokara orchids also accented the piece.
The complimentary arrangement to the first was three vases with tight bundles of roses, hydrangea and spider mums. They made a vibrant statement in their vases in lime green, electric blue and orange.
The dramatic lighting really plays an important role in this room in the magenta color. Lighting whether just accenting the room to give it a soft glow or adding a punch of color really makes a difference to the whole design of a room. This room shot would not be nearly as dramatic without the lighting.
The napkin, linen and votives all in the same tone let the flowers really be the star of the table. This arrangement just wouldn’t be the same on a white cloth. The color is a great backdrop to the arrangement.
Hi tops and furniture by Busy Bee created this lounge look. Again, the lighting really made the space by adding punches of color to the room.
A ceremony area was also created in the space and we took our wrought iron structure that you have seen in many of our blog posts and just accented it with lots and lots of ribbons and candles.
Having your ceremony in the round really creates an intimate feel to your wedding. All of your guests are up close and really feel as though they are truly involved in your ceremony.
