I was so excited when Lynn and Marianne at Feast your Eyes Catering asked all of us to be a part of Design Philadelphia. Laura Eaton was kind enough to take all of these wonderful photos.

We had already gone to see Feast Your Eyes’ new space where their kitchens are now located and where they also have an event space called Front and Palmer. It is spectacular and we were really excited to work in their new space.

Eclatante and Beautiful Blooms teamed up to create a loft apt space look inside of the Front and Palmer event space. We decided on this look as we wanted to go beyond a table design. We also decided that even though this was an evening event we wanted to create a breakfast design so instead of dinner foods on the table we had donuts and granola.

As part of our table design, we used local artist Abby Freeman’s hand blown “candy cone vases” for our table display. Abby’s vases are available for sale at the Beautiful Blooms Boutique. Bill (Beautiful Blooms Studio and Design Director) worked with our team on creating a unique connected floral design of Abby’s vases along with spiderman grevellea and wheat sheaf stems.

I also pulled a variety of items from our homes to incorporate into the table look…coffee mugs, plates, silverware, placemats and napkin rings. We really wanted the table to have a more personalized feel to it.

We even added lighting to our look (well Eventions did) and as always lighting creates ambiance and enhances decor!

I love love love how this shadowbox we made turned out. I think my team thought I was nuts when I first said let’s add breakfast elements to the design but before I knew it they were off and creating magic. I love how the shredded wheat (with the sugar side up and with the non sugar side up looked so cool)! Also incorporated into the shadowbox were coffee beans, wheatsheafs, calla lilies, cabbages, bamboo and allium. So unique and creative!

I went to Busy Bee Design and picked out this unique selection of furniture to create the living room feel. Since so much of my life revolves around my animals, I knew we had to incorporate animals in our design with the dog house and the animal photos. April Ziegler provided some of her animal photos which Eventions hung for us. TJ just had a photo shoot with April and he looks spectacular. She really is so talented.

Penelope Rakov, another local artist, specializes in a patterned glass design known as “millifiori” and also supplied us with some of her unique pieces for Design Philadelphia. Her unique pieces are also available at the Beautiful Blooms Boutique.

I really enjoyed working on the event with Kendall and Feast Your Eyes Catering. Thanks to my amazing team along with all the artists involved for making this a truly spectacular and unique event.
