Today’s post is all about one of our all time favorite event venues: Cairnwood Mansion! The staff is amazing, the grounds are lovely and the house itself is just breathtaking. Cairnwood is a Beaux Arts style dream come true and the cherry on top is that the history of the house is a great love story. What could be more perfect for a wedding? Now this post is going to show you that even though Cairnwood is a grand old estate your choices for decor are limited to neither grand nor old-fashioned. We have had the opportunity to do many fantastic events at this facility and the styles have varied completely. Check out a few of our favorites.
Emily and Trevor wanted their wedding to have a tropical feel using oranges and greens. They definitely wanted something fun and to take full advantage of Cairnwood’s outdoor terrace. I just love how breezy and beautiful everything looks.
Next up are some pictures from Melissa and Ken’s wedding. Melissa wanted a wedding that was all elegance and very feminine. The whole house was decorated in pinks with accents of black and white. This wedding had a french sort of romance to it. These are some photos that we took but also check out Studio Nine Photography as they took the actual photos for Melissa and Ken.
Speaking of France and the color pink here are a couple of shots from the Cairnwood Spring Gala 2008, the theme of which was France. These pictures really show how much of a difference lighting makes to a party!

And finally please check out Kate and Scott’s playful modern orange, black and white wedding. Rather than standard round tables they had long tables outside under the tent. All the details of this event were refreshingly chic. Photographs by Amanda Kraft Photography.
This was such a fun entry for me to look through. My fiance and I are getting married at Cairnwood at the end of August, and Beautiful Blooms is doing our flowers. I can honestly say that one of the things I’m most looking forward to is seeing the bouquets and centerpieces that Beautiful Blooms will create for our big day!
