Well it has been a long time in coming but Beautiful Blooms blog is ready to go. I hope you will enjoy viewing it as much as we will enjoy writing it. You will see that not only myself, Donna O’Brien, Owner and Creative Director of Beautiful Blooms will be blogging, but some of my talented team will also be doing blogs about their specific expertise… Bill Schaffer will blog about the many beautiful flowers we will use in our event and wedding designs and also the gorgeous flowers that we will be carrying in our new boutique. Maya Shumar will be blogging about new trends and ideas in furniture, rentals, draping, lighting and all of her areas of expertise. It is really going to be fun.

With an Associates Degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute in Technology in NYC, Donna has travelled extensively for business and pleasure throughout Europe and Asia — stopping to take a floral design class whenever she could. After 17 years in the fashion industry Donna parleyed her creative background in to floral arts and event decor. After studying floral design in London with Jane Packer and Paula Pryke in addition to Lesly Zamor, and at Parsons School of Design in NYC, Beautiful Blooms Floral and Event design company was launched in 2002. Creating innovative and magazine worthy floral designs with the most perfect blooms has become the mantra for the company. With her boundless energy and commitment to excellence, Donna continues to push the envelope and work with her team on new design concepts and source unique flowers. Donna’s work has been published in both regional and national magazines and she is relied on by the media for her expertese and knowledge in floral design and decor.
