Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Wedding-Rebecca and Josh

Rebecca and Josh’s wedding was held at the Hamilton Building at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts on April 4th, 2009! We love working at the Academy, not only because it is so beautiful, but also because of the wonderful staff such as Judi Garst, Bill Swoope and of course the great team of Duffy Catering…Matt, Helene, Chrissy!

The bride’s bouquet was made from white peonies, lady slipper orchids and white sweet peas! Just gorgeous if I do say so myself. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were made from fuji mums and pom pom mums with pearl pin accents. The green color really played off of the chocolate brown dresses.

Rebecca, Josh and her family came to us requesting a traditional yet beautiful wedding and we were happy to help out. They also wanted the centerpieces to be something that their guests could take home and continue to enjoy after their wedding. We created centerpieces of white, light pink and green phalenopsis orchid plants.

Oops! I almost forgot to show you some of Rebecca and Josh’s ceremony photos. The chuppah was a beautiful fabric chuppah with a gorgeous white calla lily arrangement placed on either side. It was such an elegant look.

I also wanted to share a thank you that we received from the bride’s mom, Jesse Hackell, it was so sweet that she sent us this letter. It really touched our hearts.

“Dear Donna-I just wanted to thank you for the absolutely beautiful flowers you provided for Becca + Josh’s wedding on April 4 at Pafa.

The chuppah was beautiful with the calla lilies (I only wish I had seen more of it but I was sort of focused on Becca!) and the orchids were just perfect for the table-accenting just right while not overpowering the room.
