TJ O’Brien is a dog but he plays a very important part in the world of Beautiful Blooms and my life. TJ is just a little over two years old and he is a 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog. Kendall of Eclatante Event Design came with me when I went to pick him up from the breeder. He was only 16 lbs! I know it is hard to believe. I remember the day I took him to the New York City Flower Market and carried him. That lasted about one day and then he became way too heavy.
TJ comes to work with me every day and is our mascot! Our clients love our raw space because it has not only a warm artistic feel but they also love to come and see TJ. We’ve had brides and their families come back to visit TJ after their event is over. We also had a bride lay on the floor with him and use him as a pillow when she wasn’t feeling well during one of our meetings. He was happy to oblige. TJ is a big huggable pillow and their are days when we just need a hug to get us through the day and he is here for everyone!
As I write this blog…TJ is snoring at my feet. My grandfather used to be the loudest snorer I knew but I think TJ would beat him if there were ever a contest.
